Today is Ada Lovelace Day, an opportunity (although really, we should be doing this every day) to commemorate and encourage the accomplishments of women working in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
Besides checking out the Finding Ada site above, we recommend you follow the excellent Gender and Science tumblr, and also find out what’s happening in the STEM world via websites for the Society of Women Engineers and the Association for Women in Science.
Oh, and this comic about Ada Lovelace is pretty darn brilliant. (via our friend Jeremy of DestroyAllComics)
